Jenner Stands Firm

On Friday, March 28, 2025, Jenner & Block filed a lawsuit in DC federal court to challenge an executive order targeting our firm. That same day, the court ordered a Temporary Restraining Order. We will continue to do our job as independent advocates for our clients and appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of support we’ve received, including from the alumni community.

Jenna Bressel has returned to the firm as Special Counsel in the Chicago office. Jenna brings significant experience in employee benefits and executive compensation law. Jenner Launches India Practice

Over the past few years, Jenner has invested in growing our capabilities to partner with Indian clients and law firms to assist in critical disputes and investigations work. Led by partners who have lived and worked in India and are Indian-qualified, our new India Practice supports Indian parties across a range of disputes and investigations. We have many close relationships with Indian counsel, recognizing that many clients prefer their domestic and foreign counsel to work closely together. We travel to India multiple times a year and are active participants in Indian legal organizations. A Jenner & Block team from the practice also recently secured an exceedingly rare vacatur of international arbitration award against Meleveetil Damodaran, the former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Thanking Andy Bart for Nearly Two Decades of Service

Andy Bart recently retired from Jenner & Block, capping a distinguished career as a national leader in media and entertainment law. As the founder of the firm’s Content, Media, and Entertainment (CME) Practice, Andy built a team recognized among the best in the United States. His groundbreaking work in copyright, trademark, and privacy law, including landmark cases in the music and film industries, has left an indelible mark on the media and entertainment sector. As Andy returns to his love for music through his NPR radio show (check out Jazz Flight on WLQN), we congratulate him on his retirement and are grateful for his leadership, contributions, and lasting impact on the firm.

Congratulating Harry Roper on His Retirement, following 20 Years of Service

Following Harry Roper’s recent retirement from Jenner & Block, we celebrate his remarkable career that shaped our firm’s patent litigation practice. Harry’s leadership and expertise elevated our practice, making it a recognized leader in the field. A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Harry was widely respected as one of Chicago’s top patent trial lawyers. His contributions extended beyond his legal skills; he was a mentor, collaborator, and key figure in the firm’s growth. We are grateful for Harry’s exceptional service and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.

Matt Price Joins Constellation as General Counsel

Matt Price, former Co-Chair of Jenner & Block’s Energy Practice, joined Constellation as General Counsel in December 2024. His expertise covered critical areas such as market design, carbon regulation, and transmission policy, earning him recognition as a 2024 Energy MVP by Law360. At Constellation, Matt will oversee legal affairs, continuing his legacy as a strategic and influential leader in the energy sector. Read more.

Jenner & Block’s 15 Years in California Celebration

In 2009, Jenner & Block opened its Los Angeles office. Fifteen years of dedication to our clients has led to tremendous success and growth in the Golden State, with three offices in California including our newly opened Century City office and recently expanded San Francisco office. Last summer we gathered clients, alumni, Jenner personnel, and friends of the firm to honor our 15-year anniversary. As we reflect on this achievement, we also recognize the challenges faced by many in our Southern California community due to the wildfires earlier this year. In keeping with our firm's values, Jenner & Block has raised nearly 120 thousand dollars to support relief and recovery efforts. In the spirit of community, we remain committed to supporting those affected.

Thanking Andy Bart for Nearly Two Decades of Service

Andy Bart recently retired from Jenner & Block, capping a distinguished career as a national leader in media and entertainment law. As the founder of the firm’s Content, Media, and Entertainment (CME) Practice, Andy built a team recognized among the best in the United States. His groundbreaking work in copyright, trademark, and privacy law, including landmark cases in the music and film industries, has left an indelible mark on the media and entertainment sector. As Andy returns to his love for music through his NPR radio show (check out Jazz Flight on WLQN), we congratulate him on his retirement and are grateful for his leadership, contributions, and lasting impact on the firm.

Congratulating Harry Roper on His Retirement, following 20 Years of Service

Following Harry Roper’s recent retirement from Jenner & Block, we celebrate his remarkable career that shaped our firm’s patent litigation practice. Harry’s leadership and expertise elevated our practice, making it a recognized leader in the field. A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Harry was widely respected as one of Chicago’s top patent trial lawyers. His contributions extended beyond his legal skills; he was a mentor, collaborator, and key figure in the firm’s growth. We are grateful for Harry’s exceptional service and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.

Matt Price Joins Constellation as General Counsel

Matt Price, former Co-Chair of Jenner & Block’s Energy Practice, joined Constellation as General Counsel in December 2024. His expertise covered critical areas such as market design, carbon regulation, and transmission policy, earning him recognition as a 2024 Energy MVP by Law360. At Constellation, Matt will oversee legal affairs, continuing his legacy as a strategic and influential leader in the energy sector. Read more.

Jenner & Block’s 15 Years in California Celebration

In 2009, Jenner & Block opened its Los Angeles office. Fifteen years of dedication to our clients has led to tremendous success and growth in the Golden State, with three offices in California including our newly opened Century City office and recently expanded San Francisco office. Last summer we gathered clients, alumni, Jenner personnel, and friends of the firm to honor our 15-year anniversary. As we reflect on this achievement, we also recognize the challenges faced by many in our Southern California community due to the wildfires earlier this year. In keeping with our firm's values, Jenner & Block has raised nearly 120 thousand dollars to support relief and recovery efforts. In the spirit of community, we remain committed to supporting those affected.
