Billy Goldstein helps clients in a wide array of industries and circumstances navigate complex business disputes. He has substantial experience litigating M&A disputes, fraud claims, and other business torts on behalf of global life science and manufacturing companies, financial services firms, asset management and real estate investment companies, and others. Billy is a critical asset to international clients seeking to protect their US business interests in high-stakes cross-border disputes. He brings keen judgment and a focus on problem solving to all his representations.
In Billy’s active pro bono practice, he has successfully counseled a range of clients through life-changing matters. He served as class counsel to veterans suffering from PTSD who challenged the Army’s review process for “bad paper” discharges; in a settlement announced a week after Veterans’ Day, the Army agreed to reconsider thousands of discharge status upgrade applications under a lenient standard of review. That case generated significant media coverage and was part of a nationwide movement to have the armed services reconsider “bad paper” discharges for veterans. Billy has also represented a number of individuals in immigration proceedings before government agencies and federal appellate courts, where he has repeatedly obtained longshot victories for clients on the brink of removal.
