  • Obtaining and successfully defending judgment in the sum of US$152 million on behalf of the Joint Liquidators of Singularis Holdings Limited in High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court proceedings regarding negligent disbursement of funds by a broker.
  • Advising in the defence of a regulatory action and a £1 billion group litigation claim against a global financial institution and certain of its former directors.
  • Acting for a west-African state in related ICC and ICSID arbitration claim of over US$1.8 billion brought by a mining group concerning the suspension and termination of the group’s long-term mining agreement to mine iron ore.
  • Acting for the shareholders of a Central-European mining company in relation to a US$300 million claim against the host state under the Energy Charter Treaty.
  • Led an internal investigation into whistleblower allegations of potential violations of the FCPA and UK Bribery Act for a multinational manufacturer, leading to improvements to the company’s anti-corruption compliance program across business units and global affiliates.
  • Advised and represented a multinational corporation in an anti-corruption investigation by the UK Serious Fraud Office into the company’s use of intermediaries.
