Nura Maznavi manages the firm’s pro bono program across all seven offices. Nura serves as a liaison to the legal services and nonprofit community, develops pro bono opportunities and projects and ensures a broad range of participation in the firm’s pro bono activities, including partnerships with corporate clients.

Nura has more than a decade of experience directing pro bono programs and working with nonprofits and legal services organizations. Prior to Jenner & Block, she was the director of the Pro Bono Service Initiative at the University of Chicago Law School and was assistant staff counsel at the ABA’s Center for Pro Bono. Nura practiced law as counsel to the nonprofit Muslim Advocates, at a San Francisco firm, and as a staff attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She maintains her own pro bono practice, with a special interest in criminal justice issues, including criminal records relief and bail reform.
