John Edwards’s resignation as UK Information Commissioner (ICO) on 19 June 2026 followed an independent workplace investigation that found Mr Edwards’s conduct fell short of the standard expected of a public official, including using language that the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology described as “vulgar and highly sexualised”.

Partner Rachel Alpert authored an article for Just Security examining the Treasury Department's short-lived Iran sanctions relief, from the issuance of General License X to its revocation weeks later.

In Bloomberg Law, Partner Adam Unikowsky and Associate Laurel Raymond examined Jenner & Block's landmark US Supreme Court win in Chatrie v. United States, which held that accessing a person's location data in the cloud is a "search" under the Fourth Amendment, requiring law enforcement to obtain a warrant satisfying the Constitution's probable cause and particularity requirements.

Jenner & Block secured a win before the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on behalf of client Adacel Systems, Inc., successfully defending an FAA contract award against a challenge brought by a competing contractor.
