Jenner & Block Advises The Campbell Center in Merger Agreement

On June 11, Jenner & Block advised its client The Campbell Center in completing its merger with New Horizons. This merger marks a pivotal moment, uniting two San Fernando Valley, California based non-profits that have each served the neurodiverse community for 70 years. The Campbell Center supports adult individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities through supported employment, community integration services, and residential services.
The Campbell Center will maintain its name in honor of its legacy to its founders Phyllis and Jerry Campbell and retain its commitment to serving adults in Glendale, California under its new classification as a division of New Horizons. The combined organization plans to develop new programs tailored to meet the unique needs of different demographics within the disability community.
“We plan to build a foundation for services that will support the needs and aspirations of all those we serve for years to come,” says Muhannad Malki, The Campbell Center, Chairperson.
The deal team was led by Partner Donald Batterson, with support by Partners Geoffrey Davis, Madeleine Findley, Martin Glass, Sheila Kailus, Gail Morse, Matt Renaud, Miwa Shoda, Emma Sullivan, Todd Toral; Associates Alexander Bradt, Jacob Friedman, Kristen Iglesias, Maliha Ikram, Hannah Schwab; Paralegal Christopher Ward; and library services by Stephen Mellin and Tricia Peavler.
