Bloomberg Law Recognizes Jenner & Block as 2025 Pro Bono Innovator

Jenner & Block has been named a 2025 Pro Bono Innovator by Bloomberg Law, an honor which recognizes law firms "going above and beyond in delivering impactful pro bono work." This annual report recognizes legal service providers working to improve the lives of underserved pro bono clients and increase access to justice.

The firm's profile highlights two significant matters, including a Queens, New York case in which Jenner successfully returned a home to elderly clients who were victims of deed theft. The December 2024 victory established local precedent for voiding fraudulent deeds through coordinated civil-criminal litigation—a framework that has already been cited in subsequent cases.

"In Queens, our victory established precedent for voiding fraudulent deeds through coordinated civil-criminal litigation," said Associate Florian Fuhrimann. "This precedent has already been cited in subsequent cases, offering a blueprint for lawyers and prosecutors confronting similar challenges."

A Jenner team joined a longstanding advocacy effort approximately nine years ago, helping secure a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) order adopted in July 2024 that reduces exploitative communication rates for incarcerated people.

"Being able to connect with family and friends over an audio or video call is something most of us take for granted but has unfortunately been prohibitively expensive for incarcerated people and their loved ones," said Partner Rebekah Goodheart and Special Counsel Greg Capobianco. "The wheels of justice may turn slowly but the FCC has made fundamental reforms to a broken system that will bring meaningful relief to millions of people."

The Jenner team also included Partner Madeleine Findley, Of Counsel Eric Einhorn, Associates Christian Hatten and Dagny Lu, Practice Assistant Beth Gulden, and Paralegal Supervisor Cheryl Olson.
