Partner AnnaMarie Van Hoesen to Speak on ABA National Legal Malpractice Conference Panel
Event
September 17, 2026 — September 17, 2026
Partner AnnaMarie Van Hoesen will join a panel at the National Legal Malpractice Conference hosted by the American Bar Association (ABA) in Las Vegas on September 17.
The panel, titled “Being a Great Second Chair,” will provide an honest, experience-driven look at what it means to serve as second chair in a legal malpractice matter. Panelists will walk through the full arc of a case from initial intake and early case evaluation through pretrial preparation and trial, offering practical insight on the case within a case framework, owning your discovery responsibilities, contributing meaningfully to trial strategy, knowing when to speak up and when to support, and identifying the moments at trial where you can, and should, step forward.
AnnaMarie regularly advises national and international law firms facing malpractice allegations, disqualification motions, and internal investigations, and is often the lawyer firms turn to when navigating high-stakes professional responsibility matters. She serves on the Professional Responsibility and Ethics Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and regularly writes and lectures on professional responsibility matters.
