Jenner Continues to Expand its Congressional Investigations Practice

In November 2022, Emily Loeb returned to Jenner & Block to lead the Congressional Investigations Practice after serving as Associate Deputy Attorney General at DOJ. Grounded in first-hand knowledge of the current political landscape and how that impacts congressional investigations, the practice helps clients prepare for hearings, depositions, and interviews, and manages information requests and subpoenas. Because our clients often face simultaneous legal inquiries—across many different forums, including litigation and regulatory actions—on the same subject that Congress is investigating or legislating, the practice also provides clients with a comprehensive strategy to address the issues across proceedings. Read more.

Pro Bono Impact and Opportunities

As our alumni know very well, Jenner’s commitment and passion for public service has a long history at Jenner and it continues to be a vital part of who we are as lawyers and as people. It is at the core of how we recruit and train our lawyers and how we measure our professional success. Put simply, pro bono is in our DNA. In January 2021, we announced a five-year commitment to provide $250 million in free legal assistance to those in need. Just two years later, we are nearly halfway to reaching our goal. Read the latest Heart of the Matter Report to learn more about our recent pro bono impact.

We encourage alumni who work at public service organizations to connect with our pro bono team. We also encourage alumni who work at public service organizations to reach out and connect with our pro bono team. Please reach out to our Pro Bono Counsel, Nura Maznavi or our Pro Bono Partnership Lawyer, Angelina Smith at probono@jenner.com.

Welcoming our Newest Laterals to Jenner

We have recently welcomed preeminent laterals in each of our offices. Please join us in welcoming them to Jenner, and let us know if we can help arrange an introduction.
