"DEI and ESG in a Rapidly Evolving Landscape,” 2024 Restaurant Legal Summit
Jenner & Block Partners Gabriel Gillett and Marcus Childress will lead a conversation on the challenges surrounding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) efforts at the Restaurant Law Center’s (RLC) 2024 Restaurant Legal Summit. The event will be held from October 23-25.
Against the backdrop of this legal landscape, Gabriel and Marcus will provide an overview and update on those challenges, identify immediate and concrete steps companies can take to mitigate legal risk, and discuss restaurant-industry best practices for implementing action-orientated strategies designed to fit the culture of attendees’ organizations. The Jenner team will be joined on the panel by Gail Sharps Myers, Chief Legal and Administrative Officer of Denny's Corporation, and Kimberly Bernstein, Global Legal Director of Taco Bell.
The Restaurant Law Center is the only independent public policy organization created specifically to represent the interests of the food service industry in the courts. This labor-intensive industry is comprised of over one million restaurants and other food-service outlets employing about 16 million people—approximately 10 percent of the US workforce. Restaurants and other food-service providers are the second largest private sector employers in the country.
