Jenner & Block Co-Hosts Launch of Second Edition of "An International Guide to Corporate Internal Investigations"

Jenner & Block was delighted to co-host the launch of the second edition of An International Guide to Corporate Internal Investigations, published by the American Bar Association, at the Hall at Gray's Inn in London.

The evening brought together friends, colleagues, and leading practitioners from across the investigations community for a celebration of the book's publication and an evening of discussion on the key issues shaping corporate internal investigations today.

The UK chapter was co-authored by partners Christine Braamskamp and Rob Dalling, drawing on their deep experience in corporate crime, compliance, and investigations. The UK chapter provides a practical end-to-end guide to conducting internal investigations in the UK, walking through every stage from initial scoping and team structure through document review, witness interviews, and forensic accounting, to reporting and engagement with enforcement authorities. It also addresses the key legal and regulatory considerations that arise throughout, including privilege, data protection, whistleblower protections, corporate criminal liability, and the strategic decision of whether to self-report and cooperate with authorities such as the SFO with a view to securing a Deferred Prosecution Agreement or Civil Recovery Order.

A former barrister, Christine leads highly complex criminal, reputational, and regulatory matters. Formerly called to the Bar in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, she brings her diverse and international civil and common law experience to a range of compliance, investigation, and white-collar defense matters, with a particular focus on non-financial misconduct and culture investigations spanning multiple industries.

Rob brings over a decade of experience as a trial lawyer, having prosecuted and defended serious criminal cases before transitioning to advise both corporate and individual clients across a broad range of regulatory, criminal, and financial crime matters. Drawing on his extensive courtroom experience, Rob provides pragmatic, commercially grounded counsel to international companies and individuals navigating complex investigations and enforcement actions across the UK, EU, and beyond.
