NEW YORK, NY, September 28, 2026 – Jenner & Block is pleased to announce that Jeremy Feigenbaum, New Jersey’s inaugural Solicitor General, has joined the firm as a partner in its New York office. Jeremy, who has served in senior state leadership roles for nearly a decade, will support clients across industries as they navigate high-stakes appeals and Supreme Court litigation, federal and multistate investigations, complex commercial disputes, and litigation at the intersection of government and public policy. He brings extensive first-chair appellate and litigation experience, handling matters at the highest levels of state and federal government.
Jeremy joins Jenner following six years of service as New Jersey's first Solicitor General, building the office from a single attorney into a nationally respected team of 15. In that role, he argued three cases before the US Supreme Court. Jeremy argued on behalf of 23 Attorneys General in Trump v. CASA, on the scope and propriety of nationwide injunctions, and he argued New York v. New Jersey, prevailing 9-0 in an interstate contract dispute. He has overseen hundreds of other cases and handled 30 arguments across all levels of the federal and state judiciaries.

Jeremy held senior state leadership positions under four different Attorneys General and two gubernatorial administrations, spanning three presidential administrations. His positions in New Jersey – as Solicitor General and, before that, Counsel to the Attorney General – gave him a key role in shaping issues-and-appeals strategy, affirmative civil enforcement, policy, regulation, and investigations, not just for New Jersey but for multistate coalitions. Given that breadth of senior government experience, Jeremy will play a key role in the firm’s Appellate and Supreme Court Practice, with additional work across Specialized Litigation and Arbitration, Investigations, Compliance, and Defense, and Government Controversies and Public Policy Litigation.

Beyond his Supreme Court practice, Jeremy has built a docket that includes some of the most sensitive and consequential litigation involving states, federal agencies, and private disputes. Jeremy led multiple suits challenging federal investigations, funding restrictions, and funding conditions, including successfully challenging a funding freeze for the Hudson Tunnel Project, known as the Gateway Project, before the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and US District Court for the Southern District of New York. His record includes diverse actions across a range of laws and industries, involving state and multistate consumer fraud, antitrust, and data privacy investigations and enforcement actions; challenges to state consumer and data privacy laws; state and federal False Claims Act enforcement; filings both challenging and defending federal healthcare regulations; interjurisdictional litigation over state and federal subpoenas; energy-related litigation, including lawsuits involving Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) orders and policies; disputes involving higher education funding; and cutting-edge litigation over the application of sports gambling laws to prediction markets.

Jeremy holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA from Brown University. He clerked for Justice Elena Kagan on the US Supreme Court and for Judge William Fletcher on the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
