LONDON, 1ST November, 2022– International law firm Jenner & Block has completed the relocation of its growing London team to new offices at 10 Exchange Square, Broadgate, in the heart of the City.
The move is part of the firm’s strategic commitment to further growth in London. The new premises provide 13,000 square feet of office space and increase the firm’s London footprint by 45 percent. The lease also comes with an option for additional floorspace after five years.
“Expanding our presence in London is one of the firm’s strategic growth priorities,” said Co-Managing Partners, Katya Jestin and Randy Mehrberg. “This move is a mark of the confidence we have in our London lawyers, the phenomenal services they provide, and the continued growth we expect in coming years.”
Jenner & Block launched its London office in 2015 with just two lawyers, and since then it has grown to more than 20 fee earners, specialising in litigation, international arbitration, and investigations and white collar defence. The firm acts on behalf of high-profile clients in the financial services, energy, natural resources, infrastructure, defence, technology, and telecommunications sectors.
“We felt that we required a bigger space, not just to accommodate more desks as we continue to grow our headcount, but in terms of a design that helps us to think bigger,” said Charlie Lightfoot, Managing Partner of the London office. “We continue to focus on a combination of targeted lateral recruitment and organically building and nurturing our younger lawyers, and the new space will allow our team to feel engaged and inspired to consistently produce their very best work.”
Also based in London are Partners Christine Braamskamp, Robert Dalling, Elizabeth Shimmin, Wade Thomson, Christian Tuddenham, and Jason Yardley.
“Our new location at 10 Exchange Square provides the base we need as we grow and expand our services for our clients,” said Mr. Yardley, who led the search for the new space. “At 13,000 square feet, the office contains enhanced client meeting spaces, larger conference areas for hosting events, as well as a new and improved social hub for staff members,” he added.
In addition to their commercial work, the London-based lawyers contribute significantly to the firm’s pro bono initiatives, such as their ongoing efforts to help at-risk individuals leave Afghanistan.
In 2021, Jenner & Block opened an office in San Francisco to further support clients in Northern California, which include some of the world’s largest technology companies. The firm also recently moved to new offices in both Los Angeles and New York and renewed its lease for its largest offices in Chicago and Washington, DC.
