On March 24, 2022, Partner Alexander J. Hadjis will join international industry leaders for a webinar on standard-essential patents (SEPs) and fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND/RAND) licensing terms in the automotive industry. The webinar will take place at 1 pm ET. Click here to register. Mr. Hadjis is a patent trial lawyer. He has tried over 15 patent cases for large, operating companies, such as Roku, Freescale, and Huawei, and he has litigated many more before the federal district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Federal Circuit over the course of his twenty-six year career. In his most recent district court trial, Alex obtained a defense jury verdict of non-infringement in favor of Roku. He has also tried and won cases involving standard essential patents. He is responsible for winning a trial defense victory for two CD-R and CD-RW optical disc replicators, Princo and Gigastorage, against several standard essential optical disc patents that were part of a patent pooling arrangement. In 2021, Law360 named him an MVP in intellectual property. Alex is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
