Jessica Ring Amunson, Co-Chair of the Appellate and Supreme Court Practice, will be participating in the Broadband Breakfast Live Online event on October 16 at 12 pm ET.

Jessie’s panel will focus on municipal efforts to tax streaming video and broadband services. The panelists will discuss the legal framework governing the use of public rights-of-way and the issues cities face in attempting to seek fees for broadband and streaming services.

The online event is open to the public.

Jessie works closely with the firm’s Communications, Internet & Technology Practice. She argued the City of Eugene v. FCC case in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit on behalf of intervenor NCTA—The Internet & Television Association regarding the franchise-fee cap and the mixed-use rule that will be part of the focus of this panel.
