"Introduction to Supreme Court Practice," 2022 Supreme Court Summer Institute for Teachers

On June 9, Partner Lindsay Harrison will lead an introductory session on the US Supreme Court during Street Law, Inc. and the Supreme Court Historical Society’s 2022 Supreme Court Summer Institute for Teachers. Ms. Harrison’s session will provide an overview of the operation of the Court, including how it decides to hear cases, the “shadow docket,” briefing and oral arguments, and the process for issuing opinions. Ms. Harrison is a litigator and partner in the firm’s Appellate and Supreme Court and Complex Commercial Litigation Practices. Ms. Harrison also co-chairs the firm’s Hospitality & Real Estate Litigation team, representing clients in real estate disputes, disputes concerning hotel management agreements, and in consumer class actions. Ms. Harrison is a leading member of the firm’s Education Practice, where she litigates cases on behalf of colleges and universities and advises them on regulatory issues. At the age of 30, she argued her first case in any court in the US Supreme Court, where she won an important victory for immigrants.
