Co-Managing Partner Randy Mehrberg and Partner Suedeen Kelly, Co-Chairs of the firm's Energy Practice, participated in Northwestern University Energy Innovation Lab's (EIL) Inaugural Conference, "Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies," held on April 17, at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in Chicago.
Randy spoke on the opening panel, "Framing Current Issues in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies." Drawing on his experience as former Chief Legal Officer at Exelon and President of PSEG Energy Holdings, Randy offered perspective on the regulatory, legal, and strategic dimensions of the energy transition and the emerging technologies reshaping the sector.
Suedeen spoke on the conference's closing panel, "The Road Ahead and Next Steps in Collaborative Progress," addressing the policy, regulatory, and investment landscape shaping the future of energy innovation and emerging technologies.
The conference was co-sponsored by more than ten Northwestern University schools and institutes, as well as Vanderbilt Law School's Energy, Environment, and Land Use Program, and brought together scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders to address pressing issues at the intersection of energy, technology, and law.
