In an article for Law360, Partner Brian S. Scarbrough and Associate Edward Crouse discuss the risks of fraud and theft associated with non-fungible tokens (NFTs). They share their insights into the different industry actors -- from insurance and security companies to cryptocurrency blockchain platforms -- that have started to roll out insurance policies for NFTs and the insurance gaps that are relevant to different types of NFT holders, creators, and vendors.
Mr. Scarbrough is co-chair of Jenner & Block's Insurance Recovery and Counseling Practice. He represents corporate policyholders in disputes with insurers and has significant experience both in counseling clients on insurance coverage and in litigating insurance coverage disputes.
Mr. Crouse is an associate in the firm’s Litigation department. He received his JD from Stanford Law School in 2021, where he served as editor-in-chief for the Stanford Journal of International Law and co-president of the Immigration Naturalization Pro Bono Project and the Entertainment and Sports Law Association.
