PLI’s Broadband and Cable Industry Law 2024

Jenner & Block played a significant role in the Practising Law Institute’s Broadband and Cable Industry Law 2024 CLE. Partner Rebekah Goodheart co-chaired the program, Partner Jessie Amunson spoke on a panel, and Jenner & Block hosted a reception for participants at its New York office.

The one-day seminar featured cutting-edge analysis of federal initiatives and regulations and an examination of regulatory trends, current case law, and technology forecasts.

Rebekah and Jessie both participated in a panel that explored recent developments in net neutrality, an issue that has re-emerged in the news and policy and legal disputes. Rebekah moderated the discussion, and Jessie lent her insight from her work with the firm’s Communications, Internet, and Technology Practice and their clients on appellate and Supreme Court matters. The conversation touched upon topics including the current landscape for restoring net neutrality rules, the state’s role in the debate, and the privacy factors that relate to net neutrality issues. Rebekah also moderated two other panels with advisors for the FCC commissioners and chairwoman and with discussion about recent developments in federal deployment programs.
