Arjun Ramamurti is an experienced litigator and strategic counselor who advocates for clients in high-stakes matters at every level of the federal judiciary and before federal agencies. A former Supreme Court law clerk and political appointee at the US Department of Justice, Arjun is particularly adept at litigating and advising on cases presenting complex questions of administrative, statutory, and constitutional law. Arjun routinely represents companies, universities, Tribes, and trade associations across a broad range of issues, and he has deep substantive experience litigating novel and cutting-edge cases related to energy and telecommunications policy.
Previously, Arjun served as Counsel and Special Assistant to the Attorney General, where he advised the Attorney General and Department leadership on antitrust, environmental, and other legal and public policy issues. Arjun clerked for Justice Stephen G. Breyer of the US Supreme Court and for then-Chief Judge Merrick B. Garland and Judge Cornelia T.L. Pillard of the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.
Arjun graduated from Yale Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Law Journal. Before law school, Arjun pursued doctoral studies in political theory at Harvard University. He also holds an MPhil (with distinction) from Trinity College, Cambridge, and an A.B. summa cum laude from Harvard College.
