Sophie Montgomery’s practice focuses on appellate and trial litigation involving complex constitutional, statutory, and administrative-law questions. She also helps higher-education clients navigate high-profile issues and disputes.
Sophie received her JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School. She was the Editor-in-Chief of Volume 119 of the Michigan Law Review, the winner of the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition, and the recipient of the Henry M. Bates Memorial Scholarship Award. Prior to law school, Sophie spent four years doing college-access work in Chicago and Philadelphia public schools. She maintains an active pro bono practice.
