Andi excels in defending clients accused of violating EPA, OSHA, MSHA, DOT or state environmental or health and safety requirements, or those enmeshed in large Superfund contribution matters. Clients benefit from her extensive experience in successfully handling complex CERLCA, RCRA, air permitting and DOT hazardous materials matters. Whether in the compliance, litigation or transactions context, Andi excels at finding practical solutions and building consensus.
Before joining Jenner & Block, Andi served in-house as Senior Environmental Safety and Health Counsel at Waste Management, Inc. She has been a Board Member and Advisory Board Member for CARPLS, the Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services, for over 20 years, and has taught constitutional law to middle schoolers through the Constitutional Rights Foundation’s Lawyers in the Classroom Program. Andi has also been active in election and voter protection efforts since 2006.
I am at my clients’ sides through crises—environmental releases, occupational incidents, inspectors at the door, citations, complaints—but I prefer to work with them to avoid crisis situations by managing risk on the front end by understanding hazards, developing programs to comply with often complex regulations, and otherwise minimizing risks.
