CHICAGO, IL, March 11, 2026: Jenner & Block is pleased to announce that Sarah Streicker has joined the firm as a partner in its Chicago office. Sarah will play a key role in the firm's Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice, bringing more than 15 years of distinguished government service and first-chair trial experience in consequential prosecutions as an Assistant US Attorney.
Sarah joins Jenner after serving as Chief of the Public Corruption & Organized Crime Section at the US Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois, where she supervised sensitive investigations while leading high-profile public prosecutions. During her tenure as a federal prosecutor, Sarah tried 13 jury cases to verdict, handling matters that ranged from bribery to Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations, to wire fraud, and terrorism, and many other criminal violations.
"Sarah is widely recognized as one of the most highly-regarded federal prosecutors and experienced trial lawyers to emerge from the Chicago US Attorney’s Office in recent years," said Co-Managing Partners Ishan Bhabha and Randy Mehrberg. "Her background leading the Public Corruption & Organized Crime Section in the Northern District of Illinois gives her valuable insight into prosecutorial decision-making and enforcement priorities, combining courtroom excellence with strategic judgment—exactly what clients are seeking at a time of unprecedented scrutiny for companies and executives."
Throughout her career as a federal prosecutor, Sarah led teams of attorneys and federal agents in investigating and prosecuting a number of significant cases. Her investigative work has involved wiretaps, cooperating sources, and other sophisticated techniques. In addition to her trial experience, she has briefed and argued appeals before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, received multiple awards including the Director's Award for Superior Performance by a Litigative Team and the Cook County Crime Stoppers Excellence in Law Enforcement Award, and serves as a member of the Committee on Federal Criminal Jury Instructions of the Seventh Circuit.
"Sarah's deep investigative experience and exceptional trial skills position her as a trusted advisor for clients facing today's rapidly evolving enforcement and litigation landscape," said Reid Schar, Co-Chair of Jenner’s Litigation Department, and Erin Schrantz, Co-Chair of the Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice. "She brings deep insight into how prosecutors evaluate cases and make charging decisions, allowing her to help clients not just in crisis, but in developing strategies to address problems before they escalate. With her combination of prosecutorial leadership, first-chair trial experience, and a proven ability to manage politically sensitive, high-stakes matters, Sarah is someone who can bring immediate value to clients."
"I'm honored to join Jenner & Block, a firm with a stellar reputation for integrity, fearless advocacy, and strong values," said Sarah. "Throughout my career, I've been drawn to challenging, consequential cases—the ones where judgment and preparation make all the difference. I'm excited to continue that committed approach at Jenner, with attorneys who embrace excellence and teamwork in taking on complex, high-stake matters for their clients."
Sarah is active in the Chicago legal community and served on the board of the Chicago Bar Foundation for six years. Sarah earned her JD from Harvard Law School in 2004 and her BA with Highest Distinction and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan in 2001.
