EPA’s Power Plant Rule Adds to a Predictably Volatile Landscape, Bloomberg Law
Partner Ashley Callen was quoted in a Wall Street Journal article about how Trump administration officials, from cabinet secretaries to midlevel staffers, are seeking legal counsel ahead of possible congressional investigations if Democrats win one or both chambers of Congress in the November midterm elections.
Democrats on key oversight committees are already sending letters teeing up investigations they could launch if they win control of either chamber. Ashley noted that the party is "much more savvy" this time than during President Trump’s first term, when the approach was inconsistent.
Ashley helps companies and individuals prepare for and respond to congressional investigations. She is co-chair of the firm’s Congressional Investigations Practice and brings 25 years of experience in senior Republican congressional roles, including as general counsel to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA).
