Partner Ashley Callen to Speak at Inaugural Federalist Society Legislative Branch Summit
On May 20, Partner Ashley Callen will speak at the Federalist Society's Inaugural Legislative Branch Summit in a plenary session titled "Legislation, Confirmations, and Oversight—Working and Succeeding in a Legislative Legal Role."
The summit is part of the Federalist Society's new Structural Constitution Initiative, designed to serve as the premier national forum for dialogue on the separation of powers among the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches, and the federalism that divides authority between the national government and the states. The initiative convenes lawyers, scholars, judges, law students, and policymakers for substantive discussion of how the constitutional structure has secured American liberty—and how it can be strengthened for the future.
As Co-Chair of Jenner & Block's Congressional Investigations Practice, Ashley brings extensive firsthand experience in legislative and oversight work to her clients. Before joining the firm, she served as General Counsel to both Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) and held senior investigative roles across several key House committees.
