On June 4, Jenner & Block Firm Chair Tom Perrelli and Partner Dan Ring, Co-Chair of the firm’s Mass Torts and Product Liability Practice, participated as panelists at the Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) Judicial 2026 Summit, hosted by Texas Tech University in Denver. The annual conference brings together jurists, litigators, academicians, Special Masters, corporate general counsel, and industry experts to discuss best practices in multidistrict litigation.
Tom spoke on the panel "The State as a Super-Plaintiff: Navigating Parallel AG Actions Within the Civil Litigation Complex," addressing the growing role of state attorneys general in complex civil litigation and the strategic considerations that arise when state and private actions proceed in parallel.
Dan participated in "States' Rights vs. Federal Might: The Evolving Preemption Map," a panel examining how courts are navigating the scope of preemption of state tort law claims and the impact of federal regulations and agency oversight on state tort law claims.
