Titled “Data Privacy and FinCEN Guidance on Cryptocurrency,” the discussion will provide an overview of the current state of law and regulations related to data privacy and cryptocurrency. The panelists will examine both the possibility of federal privacy law as well as provide updates on Nevada’s new privacy law and the CCPA. They will also examine the ways in which cryptocurrency is increasing in use (including in Las Vegas) and some of the federal guidance and compliance steps for protecting the financial system and adhering to anti-money laundering regulations for crypto.
