Zach has extensive experience practicing before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, courts, and state commissions on matters ranging from cutting-edge market design proposals and rate disputes to litigation over electric operations and incident investigations. In court, Zach focuses on making complex energy concepts accessible to busy generalist judges.
Leveraging his passion for the energy industry, Zach works with clients to develop strategies to meet their immediate objectives while keeping a clear view of evolving business challenges. In every matter, Zach “gets his hands dirty” to understand the key economic, engineering, and policy details, whether it involves a single substation or the interstate transmission system.
Outside of his practice, Zach is a board member of his community association and has lectured in the Department of Government and Politics at the University of Maryland.
