Savannah McNeily is a litigator who helps clients navigate complex cases at all stages of litigation in federal and state courts. She is a member of the firm’s Specialized Litigation and Arbitration and Education practice groups and has experience litigating significant cases for many leading companies and institutions in the financial services, higher education, hospitality, real estate, and technology industries. She also has significant experience defending clients in class action suits brought under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA). Savannah also has experience representing companies in internal and governmental investigations.
Prior to law school, Savannah worked as a paralegal at a major law firm based in New York and in the legal department at HelloFresh US, including during the company’s 2017 IPO. Her experience working in house gives her a particular appreciation for her clients’ needs and a practical, business-savvy approach to her work as outside counsel.
Savannah serves as a co-author of the firm’s Illinois Civil Practice Guide. In addition, Savannah maintains an active pro bono practice, including matters concerning the First Amendment, reproductive justice, and representing incarcerated individuals in federal civil rights litigation.
Savannah received her JD from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2021. During law school, Savannah served as a Teaching Assistant in Constitutional Law for Professor Andrew Koppelman, as an editor for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, and on the executive board of the Julius H. Miner Moot Court Competition. Savannah received her BA in Government and History from Connecticut College in 2015.
