Michael Brady focuses his practice on investigations, regulatory, and defense work. He represents executives, companies, and high-profile individuals facing complex reputational and legal challenges, both domestically and internationally.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Michael served as Congresswoman Anna Eshoo’s chief communications advisor in the US House of Representatives. He developed and executed communications strategies on policies considered by the Committee on Energy and Commerce, the House’s oldest standing legislative committee with the broadest jurisdiction of any congressional authorizing committee. In particular, Michael worked on the most pressing issues in healthcare and technology, given Congresswoman Eshoo’s role as Chair of the Health Subcommittee and former Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology.
Before his service in the House of Representatives, Michael worked on the communications team of Senator Claire McCaskill, then-Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. He implemented communications strategies addressing oversight and investigations of government and private sector entities.
Michael received his JD from Columbia Law School in 2023. There, he worked as Executive Editor for the Columbia Journal of European Law and as a research assistant for Professor Kerrel Murray. He served as a law clerk with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General and for the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. He graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College in 2017 with a degree in political science and history.
