Melanie D. Whitcomb, Director of Paralegal Services, manages the paralegals and project assistants in all of the firm’s offices.

Melanie brings 22 years of paralegal and management experience to Jenner & Block. Since joining the firm, she has instituted a tier structure for the paralegals, created a Paralegal Review Committee made up of partners to enhance the paralegal bonus and review process, and developed and implemented a new merit bonus system for paralegals.  In addition, Melanie implemented a paralegal and project assistant training program, created the Paralegal and Project Assistant Training Coordinator position, and implemented team building opportunities for paralegals. She also created and implemented a Trial Support Group at the firm that assists out-of-town trial teams with all their logistical needs.

Melanie is a member and Chicago Chapter Chair of the International Paralegal Managers Association and a member of the Association of Legal Administrators.
