Ashutosh Ray focuses on cross-border international disputes including commercial and investor-state arbitrations. Having studied and worked in India, Switzerland, the United States, France, Korea, and the United Kingdom, he is sensitive to legal and cultural nuances involved in complex disputes.
Ashutosh was part of the Law Commission of India’s expert committees that reported to the government of India, recommending changes to India’s arbitration statute and its Model Bilateral Investment Treaty.
While at Harvard Law School, he was awarded the Addison Brown Prize for the best essay in private international law.
