Andrew D. Whinery is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department

Andrew received his JD from Yale Law School in 2018. Since joining Jenner & Block, he has represented clients in government and internal investigations as well as commercial disputes. In Andrew’s pro bono practice, he has represented asylum seekers and criminal defendants.   

During law school, Andrew represented homeowners as a member of the school’s Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation Clinic, briefing and arguing dispositive motions in both federal and state courts. He also managed the school’s Arbitration and Administrative Law Project, in which panels of students conducted hearings and rendered decisions in arbitrations mandated by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.   

Andrew received his undergraduate degree from Williams College.  Before attending law school, he worked as an editor in the publishing industry.
