Andy DeGuglielmo is an associate in the firm’s Appellate and Supreme Court Practice and Native American Law Practice. He counsels clients across industries on matters of statutory interpretation, administrative law, and corporate law. Andy also advocates for tribal nations before administrative agencies, trial courts, and appellate courts throughout the country, including the United States Supreme Court, in high-stakes matters involving federal Indian law and tribal sovereignty. Andy is a citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
Prior to joining the firm, Andy served as a law clerk to the Honorable William A. Fletcher of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Jon S. Tigar of the US District Court for the Northern District of California. While in law school, he was a teaching assistant for Legislation and for Federal Indian Law, Co-Chair of the Native American Law Students Association, and Articles Editor of the Yale Law and Policy Review. He received the Florence M. Kelley ’37 Prize for best essay in family law for the 2018-2019 academic year, as well as the Justice John Paul Stevens Public Interest Fellowship.
