A former prosecutor, André Nwadikwa leverages his experience in bringing cross-border, large-scale cases to trial in advising clients facing the full spectrum of government enforcement investigations in the United Kingdom, United States of America, and beyond.
Outside of Crown Court advocacy, André led some of the largest criminal litigations in the history of the National Crime Agency, including matters involving international money laundering and encrypted telephones. His experience acting in such cases enables André to offer a unique perspective on the global dimensions of white-collar defense, such as mutual legal assistance and extradition.
André is actively involved in pro bono and offers a strong public international law background, with a particular specialisation in international criminal law, international humanitarian law/law of armed conflict, and human rights – fields in which he continues to publish. A Spanish speaker, he previously advised on the prosecution of war crimes before the International Criminal Court on behalf of an organisation in a Latin American state.
André champions DEI in the legal profession through his committee/board-level engagement with the Employed Barristers’ Committee of the Bar Council, Kalisher Trust, Black Men in Law Network, Black Barristers’ Network, and NRG Lawyers.
