Jenner & Block Secures Seventh Circuit Victory for Nuance Communications in Biometric Privacy Case
Jenner & Block successfully defended its client Nuance Communications, Inc. before the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, which agreed that Nuance's voice authentication services for financial institution customers are exempt from the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

Jenner & Block filed an amicus brief with the US Supreme Court on August 24, 2026, on behalf of three historians of American education -- Robert N. Gross, Adam Laats, and Ann Marie Ryan -- in support of Colorado officials defending the state's preschool nondiscrimination policy in St. Mary Catholic Parish v. Roy.
