Celebrating “Making Justice a Reality in Our Communities,” in Honor of 2024 US Pro Bono Week
In honor of American Bar Association's US Pro Bono Week, Jenner & Block is celebrating and shining a spotlight on the impactful work our lawyers do to help preserve and strengthen the communities we serve. Earlier this year, the firm, an international leader in pro bono service, surpassed its five-year commitment of providing $250 million in free legal services to those in need of access to justice—a year and a half ahead of schedule.
On April 29, the Fourth Circuit agreed with an amicus brief from Jenner & Block when it held that North Carolina’s denial of medical care benefits to transgender state employees violates the 14thAmendment’s Equal Protection Clause.
Partner Howard Suskin will be an instructor at a seminar sponsored by the Chicago Bar Association called “Negotiation and Mediation Skills in M&A Cases." Howard’s segment, called "Maintain Good Relationships in Negotiation," will cover maintaining good relationships in negotiations from the mediator’s perspective. His session will be held from 9:40 to 10:10 am CDT on August 24.
