Partners Kali Bracey and Zach Schauf were named among The American Lawyer’s 2022 Trailblazers South. The annual list recognizes lawyers that have moved the needle in their profession and Ms. Bracey and Mr. Schauf were recognized for their work protecting voting rights.

Ms. Bracey is a co-chair of two practices: Consumer Law and State Enforcement and Regulation. She brings 20 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters. Ms. Bracey is a former senior counsel in the Office of Supervision Policy at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) where she helped to craft the first federal nonbank supervision program and also drafted rules defining nonbank markets for the CFPB to supervise. She went on to work for Director Richard Cordray as a senior counsel, advising him on policy and enforcement decisions arising from the Legal Division and Supervision, Enforcement, and Fair Lending Division.
Mr. Schauf is a litigator whose practice focuses on complex issues of constitutional and administrative law. He has argued in the U.S. Supreme Court, the en banc D.C. Circuit, and federal and state appellate courts across the country, including arguing in the North Carolina Supreme Court in the case that is now Moore v. Harper. Zach joined Jenner & Block after clerking for Justice Kagan of the US Supreme Court and Judge Merrick B. Garland of the DC Circuit.
