Jenner & Block is pleased to announce its Education Practice achieved a Nationwide Band 1 ranking in the 2024 edition of Chambers USA. This marks the first year that Chambers has included a Nationwide Higher Education category among its rankings.
In addition to its Band 1 ranking, Education Practice co-chair, Ishan Bhabha was recognized as a leading lawyer in the Higher Education category with a Nationwide Band 2 ranking.
“Given the scrutiny under which educational institutions operate, their legal challenges are highly complex and require sensitivity to many different concerns,” said Jenner & Block’s Education Practice Co-Chairs, Ishan Bhabha, Lauren Hartz, and Terri Mascherin. “It is a great privilege to represent the nation’s leading educational institutions as they navigate these issues, and we are honored to be recognized with this top ranking from Chambers during the inaugural year for our category.”
According to Chambers, “Jenner & Block's Education team is known for its strong litigation work on behalf of universities, colleges, and schools. The firm is particularly regarded for its appellate capabilities, including before the Supreme Court.”
Jenner & Block is among the nation’s leading firms serving the Education sector and is sought after by public and private schools, colleges, and universities across the country. The firm helps Education clients with a wide range of matters, including First Amendment advising and defense; Title IX and sexual misconduct litigation and investigations; governance and faculty discipline issues; government and internal investigations; Congressional inquiries; antitrust litigation; NCAA enforcement defense, and more.
