Co-Managing Partner Katya Jestin Named Best Mentor
Recognition
November 16, 2023
The American Lawyer honored Co-Managing Partner Katya Jestin with its Best Mentor: Law Firm Award, part of the publication’s annual Industry Awards. Selected as a finalist earlier this year, Katya was named the Best Mentor winner at a ceremony on November 15 in New York.
Katya told AmLaw that her secret to a productive mentor-mentee relationship is forming personal relationships as much as professional ones, taking a genuine interest in her colleagues’ lives, sharing experiences, and finding common ground.
In 2020, Katya and Randy Mehrberg were elected Co-Managing Partners of the firm. Katya also serves as a Co-Chair of the Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice, a Co-Chair of the Hiring Committee, and a member of the firm’s Policy Committee. She joined Jenner in 2007 after serving as an Assistant United States Attorney and supervisor in the Criminal Division of the Eastern District of New York.
Katya is recognized in the industry as a leader, illustrated by such accolades as Corporate Counsel’s Managing Partner of the Year, Crain’s New York Business’ Notable Women in Law, and The National Law Journal’s Trailblazer in White Collar, Regulatory and Compliance.
