Andrew Rohrbach, Former Co-Chief of SDNY General Crimes Unit, Joins Jenner & Block in New York

NEW YORK, NY – September 30, 2025 – Jenner & Block is pleased to announce that Andrew Rohrbach has joined the firm as a partner in its New York office. He will play a key role in the firm’s Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice, bringing distinguished government service and extensive experience leading complex investigations and litigation.

Most recently, Andrew served as Co-Chief of the General Crimes Unit and as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Public Corruption Unit at the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY). In these roles, he supervised prosecutors handling financial fraud, tax evasion, and other complex matters, while also leading high-profile public corruption prosecutions.

At SDNY, Andrew handled numerous landmark investigations and high-profile cases, including the prosecution of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried. Known for his meticulous and thoughtful approach to long-term investigations and demanding courtroom battles, he has earned a reputation as a trusted advocate in politically sensitive, consequential matters.

Andrew’s government service also includes work as Associate Counsel in the Office of the White House Counsel, where he represented the President and the White House in high-profile investigations and congressional oversight inquiries, and as an attorney with the Department of Justice Civil Division’s Appellate Staff, handling significant civil disputes on behalf of the federal government—including obtaining vacatur of a preliminary injunction that would have cost the government billions of dollars.

“Andrew embodies the caliber of advocacy our clients expect—zealous advocacy, impeccable judgment, deep trial experience, and the ability to guide organizations through moments of intense scrutiny,” said Co-Managing Partners Ishan Bhabha and Randy Mehrberg. “His arrival strengthens our ability to advise clients across industries at a time of heightened regulatory and reputational risk.”

Andrew’s addition builds on Jenner’s continued growth in its Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice, following the recent arrivals of Damian Williams, former US Attorney for SDNY, and Rachel Alpert, former Chief Counsel to the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Andrew and Damian’s reunion enhances the firm’s capacity to deliver sophisticated counsel and exceptional litigation experience in today’s challenging legal environment.

“Having worked alongside Andrew at SDNY, I know first-hand the talent, judgment, and commitment he brings to every matter,” said Damian Williams, Co-Chair of Jenner’s Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice. “His ability to lead sensitive investigations from start to finish, coupled with his integrity, litigation experience, and strategic insight, makes him an extraordinary addition for our clients and our team.”

“Andrew’s arrival adds significant strength to our practice and to our New York office,” said Tony Barkow, Co-Chair of Jenner’s Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice and Managing Partner of the New York office. “His experience across Main Justice, the White House Counsel’s Office, and SDNY positions him uniquely to guide clients facing enforcement and regulatory challenges of the highest consequence.”

“I am honored to join Jenner & Block, a firm known for fearless advocacy and a steadfast commitment to its clients,” said Andrew. “I look forward to working with Jenner’s outstanding team to help clients navigate their most consequential challenges.”

Andrew earned his JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School and his BA in Philosophy and Political Science with distinction from Yale University. He clerked for Judge Sandra Lynch of the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, Judge J. Paul Oetken of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, and Judge David S. Tatel of the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.
