Our Los Angeles office makes an impact by advocating for vulnerable and marginalized populations in the greater Southern California region. From foster children to asylum seekers to immigrant detainees, our clients need access to justice that our teams provide. We support small businesses and nonprofits, and we represent clients in court-appointed matters from all the federal pro bono panels and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Read on to learn about some of our cases and how they affected the lawyers who delivered success.
Partnership with Alliance for Children’s Rights Unites Foster Children with Adoptive Parents
“There is so much joy and gratitude when you see a baby or child enveloped into a loving home. In that moment, their life is changed forever. The Alliance adoption process lets us do a small part of helping these, and so many other, stories come true.”

Jenner & Block Lawyers Win Asylum for Indigenous Guatemalan
“Doing pro bono work has helped me develop and diversify my skillset and made me feel more connected to my community. Many people in the immigration system don’t have access to counsel, and many are here in Southern California. Providing legal services to one family in need was a gratifying experience that has driven me to help others in the immigration system who can’t afford counsel.”

Collaboration with Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles Supports a Variety of Pro Bono Clients
“My work with LAFLA has allowed me to help clients across the greater Los Angeles area who may not otherwise have access to legal aid. It is an honor to help others navigate and make sense of a system that often does not make much sense.”
