The Illinois Appellate Court, First District, affirmed the dismissal of a putative consumer class action against Jenner & Block client BMO, confirming that there was no merit to claims of consumer fraud, deceptive practices, or related claims about how the bank handled dormant account fees.

Jenner & Block successfully defended Peloton Interactive, Inc. and individual defendants against a putative securities class action brought by Robeco Capital Growth Funds SICAV and the City of Hialeah Employees' Retirement System, securing dismissal of all remaining claims at the pleading stage. Plaintiffs may seek leave to amend by September 28.

On July 31, 2026, the US Department of State and the FBI, joined by counterpart agencies in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, and the United Kingdom, issued a joint alert on North Korean IT workers who use false identities to infiltrate companies and fund North Korea's weapons programs.
