“First Monday in October Annual Virtual Gala and Mock Supreme Court Argument,” Office of the Appellate Defender

On October 5, Partner Lindsay C. Harrison will serve as Associate Justice at the Office of the Appellate Defender’s (OAD) First Monday in October Annual Gala and Mock Supreme Court Argument. This is the 27th time the OAD has hosted this event, which will be held virtually this year. The Mock Supreme Court will hear argument in Baxter v. Bracey, a petition for certiorari which asked whether the doctrine of qualified immunity should be narrowed or abolished. Baxter was one of several qualified immunity challenges that the Supreme Court chose not to hear this past term, but the First Monday Court will take up this important issue. Founded in 1988, OAD is a non-profit law firm and a national leader in effective, innovative, and holistic defense representation. Co-Managing Partner Katya Jestin serves on the board of directors of OAD. Ms. Harrison is a partner in the firm’s Appellate and Supreme Court Practice and Complex Commercial Litigation Practice. She serves on the firm’s Management Committee and Associate Development and Evaluation Committee. To learn more and register for the event, please click here.
