While earning his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Zach Marino served as a senior editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He was recognized as a quarterfinalist in the Edwin R. Keedy Moot Court Competition and later served on the competition’s board and as an appellate advocacy teaching assistant. Zach was also recognized as Volunteer of the Year for Penn’s Civil Rights Law Project, through which he assisted both the ACLU of Delaware and Pennsylvania on appellate and other matters. During law school, he was an extern at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and an intern in the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Upon graduation, Zach was awarded the Exceptional Pro Bono Service Award as well as the Herman Lazarus Prize for the best paper on a topic of comparative labor or employment law in his year.
Prior to studying law, Zach was a classical trumpet player. He earned his Bachelor of Music, graduating cum laude and with distinction in his major from Georgia State University, and earned his Master of Music in Orchestral Instrument Performance from Carnegie Mellon University.
