Simon Chin is an associate in the firm’s Appellate and Supreme Court Practice. He helps clients navigate high-stakes appellate and trial litigation involving complex issues of constitutional, statutory, and administrative law. He has co-authored briefs at every level of the federal courts and counsels clients on regulatory and administrative challenges across a range of subject areas.

Prior to joining the firm, Simon was a legal fellow at the Constitutional Accountability Center and an associate in the Supreme Court and Appellate Practice of another Washington, DC law firm. At Yale Law School, he served as a speechwriter and research assistant to Dean Heather K. Gerken and published a note in the Yale Law Journal on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. He received the Burton H. Brody Prize for Best Paper on Constitutional Privacy and the Edgar M. Cullen Prize for Best Paper by a First-Year Student. Before law school, Simon worked as a national security analyst and as a classical music critic for The Washington Post.
