While earning her JD from Yale Law School, Sarah Purtill worked as an articles editor for the Yale Journal on Regulation and was published in the Yale Law & Policy Review. She was a teaching assistant for a family law course and a member of the Veterans Legal Services Clinic, where she worked on a nationwide class action lawsuit seeking relief for toxic-exposed veterans.
Sarah has also interned with the Department of Justice, the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General, and in the chambers of Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer (D.Conn). Prior to law school, she worked on access to justice pipeline projects as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Legal Aid of Arkansas.
