Michael Trapp oversees pricing and legal project management. He and his team help the firm maintain profitability and manage financial risk by developing pricing arrangements which meet client needs and align goals. They also work with partners to build budgets, perform financial modeling, and monitor active matters to ensure work stays within defined parameters. The team supports firm management by gathering market data and setting annual rates that are congruent with peer firms and reflect Jenner & Block’s value in the marketplace.
Before joining Jenner & Block, Michael managed the global pricing team for a top-grossing law firm and led the practice economics group at an AmLaw 50 firm. Prior to his law firm experience, he worked as an analyst for an SEC-registered credit hedge fund and priced self-funded medical plans for middle-market corporations at an employee benefits brokerage. Michael holds an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
