Meredith Hurley represents public utilities and other energy companies in regulatory proceedings and related litigation at both the state and federal level.  

Before joining Jenner & Block, Meredith clerked for the Honorable Jon E. DeGuilio of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana and the Honorable Kenneth E. Ripple of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Prior to law school, Meredith worked as a regulatory policy analyst for an electric and gas utility in Indiana. She graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in American Studies and Environmental Science as well as from Indiana University O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs with an MPA. Meredith received her JD from Northwestern University School of Law in 2019, graduating cum laude. During law school, she served as editor-in-chief of the Northwestern Journal of Law and Social Policy. In addition to publishing her journal note on federalism issues in the energy industry, she co-published an article on privacy and the energy industry in the Florida Law Review.
