Lacie received her JD from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as the Managing Articles Editor of the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law. Lacie also served on the law school’s Civil Rights Litigation Initiative and its Human Trafficking Clinic and Lab. During her final year, she worked for the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan, within their Civil Rights Unit. 

Prior to law school, Lacie received her Certified Public Accountant license and worked for a Big Four public accounting firm, as well as for an international consulting firm performing restructuring and turnaround work.
